Baita Il Robbio is located in the Apuan Alps (Tuscany) in the Alpeggio del Puntato (1000 m), a large meadow area surrounded by three important mountains: Monte Freddone 1480 m, Monte Corchia 1678 m, (with Antro del Corchia, a larger karst complex of Italy with 64 km of tunnels of which 2km open to the public) and Pania della Croce 1858 m also called "Queen of the Apuan Alps" and Pizzo delle Saette 1720 m. The hut can only be reached on foot after an hour and a half on the CAI path, with the other two nearby huts attached you can reach 38 beds (in dormitories with bunk beds). The three structures work entirely with renewable energy (as they are not connected to the Enel network): photovoltaic, wind, hydroelectric and solar collectors for hot water, the kitchen is only wood-fired. Furthermore, the structures can also be used in self-management. Being also an organic farm, especially in the summer period, 0 km products such as vegetables and eggs are used for the kitchen. Menus also available for vegetarians and vegans on request. Possibility of camping around the huts with use of the toilets and kitchen.
