The CHALET offers hotel service but it is not just any hotel, it can also be booked entirely in exclusive (from Monday to Friday) and can welcome groups of 10-12 friends, sports groups or families on holiday with children and friends.
Read everythingIn summer, coming from Cadore you get to Sauris di Sopra from Sella Ciampigotto (SP619-SP73) but from November to April the SP 73 is closed to traffic due to snow. In winter, access to the valley is constantly guaranteed through the SP 73 coming from Sauris di Sotto - Ampezzo. From the center of the village of Sauris di Sotto you can reach the CAHLET RIKHELAN car park by car along a paved road 450 meters while in winter, as we are on the edge of the Sauris di Sopra ski slope, snow covers the road access and guests can reach us by skiing, walking with snow-peas on a beaten snow path or with our snowmobile service that guarantees the transport of guests and luggage during the day.

The CHALET is located at a starting point for numerous trekking and E-MTB trails which in winter, with the snow, become paths for adventurous snowmobile excursions (we have 7 of them) available to guests who are accompanied by expert guides. At the Chalet there is a Finnish sauna, 20,000 square meters of lawn at the edge of the woods with a sun terrace equipped with sun loungers, to enjoy the sun and watch its sunset every day.
Read everythingThe restaurant of the CHALET RIKHELAN is housed in an old barn with stone floors, wooden ceilings, a large fireplace in the evening always on and in summer you can have lunch on the splendid terrace overlooking the Alps. In the kitchen, depending on the season. , wild herbs, fresh vegetables, berries, mushrooms, game, Sauris sausages, mountain products, flours selected to prepare simple, genuine and light dishes are used. Daniela and I are from Veneto, in the province of Treviso, we discovered the Sauris valley 15 years ago, where time stands still, the landscapes express magic and strong sensations. We did not miss the opportunity to buy a small barn located in the middle of the woods, we made it habitable by spending beautiful weekends with our children and friends who accompanied us improvising plumbers, electricians and carpenters from time to time. That small barn gave birth to the desire to share this experience with those who, in some way, look like us. Not far from that barn stood the Chalet RIKHELAN, a historic home overlooking the Valle del Lumiei but long since abandoned. It was immediately passion and stimulus to face a demanding restoration but that gave the opportunity to satisfy our pleasure for restoration and hospitality. After two years of work we opened the doors to the first guests in Christmas 2015 who immediately appreciated the style, the informal welcome in a relaxing location, with attention to detail, simple but elegant. Our secret touch is also our motto …… Living stress-free in an ideal place to celebrate nature and life. It is worth it!
