The Segantini refuge in Val d'Amola, under the Presanella, changes management and looks to the future: Carmela Caola, cross-country ski instructor (specialized in teaching in English) and mid-mountain guide from Mavignola will take over. Sat chose you, among the many candidates, to take the place of Egidio Bonapace, at the end of the selection call. Indeed, after almost 10 years, Bonapace, a mountain guide, former President of the Mountain Academy and President of the Trento Film Festival, as well as an academician of the CAI, left the management of the "G. Segantini”. And it was he, yesterday, who announced the new owner, wishing her good luck. The refuge, located at the foot of the Presanella, was inaugurated in 1901 and owes its name to the great Archese painter Giovanni Segantini, who actively dedicated himself to describing the mountains through his paintings. Subsequently, the old "cube"-shaped refuge was joined by a new and modern one: it was 4 September 1977. Located in a suggestive environment, full of historical memories and natural harmonies, the refuge draws its origins in close connection with the first ascents of the Presanella peak, of which it forms a starting point. From Clemente Maffei Gueret to Egidio Bonapace, now Segantini looks to a young person, and the management becomes "pink".
