The inn (and guest house) is ready to welcome all those who love genuine hospitality, the silence of the mountains and conviviality. The Locanda "Palent" occupies an ancient hut in the Palent hamlet of the same name, on the Albaretto Macra slope in Valle Maira. The structure has been recently renovated, in order to make our hospitality more comfortable, while maintaining the typical characteristics of a mountain house. There are 2 bedrooms (6 beds) with internal service, balcony, heating and panoramic view. The stay is particularly suitable for lovers of hiking, good food, history and local culture.
Read everythingThe Locanda Palent is easily reachable by car from Macra (CN) which is about 8 km away. Immediately after the town of Macra, turn left onto the road which continues downhill towards Celle Macra. Inside the valley, take the right fork for Albaretto Macra. After a series of hairpin bends there is another crossroads; ignore the signs for Albaretto and continue towards Colletto. Once you reach the village on the crest of the slope, continue on level ground up to Palent. The road is practicable even in winter (provide chains in case of snow); the distance from Cuneo is about 50 km. Ideal as a starting and finishing point for Occitan itineraries, during the winter it offers pleasant opportunities for excursions with snowshoes.
